Year 2012 has great

anniversaries, involving the anniversary of 1150-year existence of Russia,
quadricentennial of the reclamation of Moscow from the Poles,
and the bicentennial of the victory over Napoleon. Quite understandably,
therefore, has Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russian Federation, proclaimed
year 2012 as the Year of Russian History.
The current year is also an
important period for the internal social-political situation within Russia. It
may bring about a number of changes following the parliamentary and
presidential elections, which may form a basis for deep reforms of the Russian

starting point to present the results of the cooperation of Polish and
foreign researchers.
